We are excited to host our annual spring plant sale back at Bell Urban Farm this year with all of our favorite small farmers! Visit us for the widest selection of locally grown herbs, flowers, and vegetable plants for your home garden!

Date and Time: Sunday, April 16, 2023, from 10 AM to 3 PM
Parking: Our Farmstand parking lot will be closed for customer safety on the day of the plant sale. Please park in the field to the left of the farm (2001 Tyler), in the Faulkner Co. Library parking lot (1900 Tyler), or along Berry Place Drive. Please DO NOT park along Tyler Street or block anyone’s driveway. We need to be considerate of our neighbors! :)
Plant and Garden Vendors
- Bell Urban Farm: Bell Urban Farm is happy to host the Spring Plant Sale back at their farm this year 💕 It all started here about 6 years ago and since has expanded to add many other small farmers and local makers! Bell Urban Farm is owned by Kim and Zack McCannon and they have two boys, Win & Leo! We have an amazing team of 6 other team members: Dylan, Nancy, Pam, Marcia, Hatdrika, and Jessica. Aside from growing plants, we grow cut flowers, host educational workshops and community events, and house a local foods grocery store- The Farmstand. The Farmstand shelves are stocked with products from over 100 other Arkansas Farmers and artisans. They will have tons of varieties of herbs, tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, cucumbers, summer squash, flowers, hanging baskets, shade-loving plants, pesto packs, and pollinator packs for sale.
- Whispering Willow Farm: Jill and Nathan Ragan, owners of Whispering Willow Farm, live near Vilonia, Arkansas, with their three girls.
- Mindful Farmer: Mindful Farmer, owned by Sean Pessarra, is a family-owned greenhouse manufacturing and farm supply company in Central Arkansas. They are on a mission to equip gardeners, homesteaders, and farmers with the tools, infrastructure, and skills they need to steward their space best. Their tools, tunnels, and coops are designed explicitly for small-scale growers and are sourced and manufactured locally. - Berkeley Farm: Berkeley Farm, owned by Lauren and Tyler Castleberry in Springhill, is a family-owned and run farm specializing in naturally grown produce, on-farm workshops/events, and children’s summer camps. They desire to foster a stronger community through real food and genuine connection. They firmly believe that life is better on the farm, and we find joy in frequently opening our farm to the community to build stronger, more meaningful relationships. They will have tons of tomatoes available as well as Crookneck Squash, Chamomile, Clemson Spineless Okra, Zinnia Variety 6 pack, Genovese Basil, Cracker Marigold, and Calendula.
- Wildland Gardens: Wildland Gardens, located 6 miles north of Morrilton, Arkansas, is owned by Melissa Cower-Smith & James Dow. They live there with their son, three horses, American Sable rabbits, honeybees, a flock of heritage breed hens, guinea hens, dogs, and cats. They specialize in herbs, including European, Indigenous, and Aryuvedic medicinal plants. They also grow locally adapted vegetables, fruits, flowers, and fiber plants. Melissa is an artist and uses plants for papermaking and as inspiration for her art. Wildland Gardens will be taking pre-orders for pick-up at the plant sale. - Man of the Red Earth: Located in Mayflower, Arkansas, Man of the Red Earth specializes in vermicomposting and amended soil. Here is a list of items you can expect: Worm castings, Stupor soil, All purpose soil, Seedling mix, Compost tea, and Microbe power packs. You can’t expect to have a healthy garden without good soil!
- Heifer Ranch: Heifer Ranch, a part of Heifer International and Heifer USA, is a certified organic farm in Perryville, Arkansas.
- The Cracked Pot Apothecary: Located in Conway, Arkansas, the Cracked Pot Apothecary features herbal teas, general first aid, and beauty products. They will have Yarrow, Nettles, Anise Hyssop, Greek Oregano, Wild Bergamot Bee Balm, St. Johns Wort, Comfrey, Lemon Balm, and more plants for sale.
Food and Beverage Vendors
- Demure Coffee: JT and Christa Clifton, owners of Demure Coffee, started this family-owned coffee shop in 2022, and it is located on Dave Ward Street in Conway, Arkansas. Demure crafts locally roasted coffee drinks using beans from Fidel & Co. in Little Rock.
- Loblolly Creamery: A Little Rock based creamery making handcrafted ice cream, buttercream macarons, marshmallows, and other sweet treats. Our inspirations are the gardens, markets, and artisan producers of Arkansas. Loblolly Creamery builds every recipe from the ground up, using fresh, seasonal ingredients, without the use of any premixes, preservatives, and artificial stabilizers. Our ice cream reflects our community-oriented perspective and local flavors like, Mosaic Templar Maple Leaf Ragtime, Barnhill Orchard Peach Buttermilk, Rock Town Bourbon Pecan, and Fresh Mint Chip. Our ice cream, macarons, marshmallows and baked goods can be found around Arkansas, in our solar-powered ice cream truck, and at the SoMa Scoop Shop. At the Scoop Shop, you will find everything made from scratch from our house-made, gluten-free cones to our hot fudge, buttercream macarons, and edible cookie dough topping. Payment: The plant sale is free to attend but you will pay each vendor separately for your plants- farmer's market style. Most vendors will accept cash or card.
Please consider bringing boxes, totes, or wagons to help transport your plants home! We will have some boxes available, first come first serve, and volunteers to help you take back plants to your car.
